Choosing a Mac

1. Do you need a desktop, or a laptop? If you find yourself needing access to your computer, while away from home, or the office, a laptop is a great solution.

2. What is your budget?

3. What do you use the computer for?  If these are your primary uses for a computer, any MacBook, or Desktop will serve your needs beyond your expectations.

  • E-mail
  • Internet
  • Writing Documents
  • Personal Finances
  • Photoshop
  • Music, Movies and YouTube

If you use it for the following, you will want to consider getting extra memory and graphics:

  • Gaming
  • Professional video-editing.
  • Creating video games

*One of the easiest ways to decide which system is right for you, go down to your local Mac store.  The salespeople are not paid commission.  They get bonuses based upon customer satisfaction.  This means they are not going to try and sell you more than you want, or need.  You know whether or not you need insurance.  If you are taking your laptop onto a construction site, insurance is a great solution.  However, if your desktop is going to sit on a desk in an office.  And that office has a steel door, and is only accessed with a biometric device, you may not need the insurance.  I say, ‘protect your investment.’
